I was home late this evening so I needed to put together some chow quick sticks. As usual for me cooking isn’t an exact science as I do love to experiment.
I’m fed up with the boring 2 minute microwave grains so I’ve pimped them up with this recipe.
- 1 bag of microwave grains – I used Aldi Bulgar Wheat, Quinoa and Grains
- 1 red onion chopped
- 1 garlic clove crushed
- 1 handful of peas
- 1 beaten egg
- Avo oil for frying
- Soy Sauce
In a wok or frying pan heat the oil, add the red onion and crushed garlic. When they’re both soft add the peas and stir fry until almost cooked. Then add the grains and fry stirring all the time. Finally, add the egg and continue to stir, this will resemble scrambled egg in the pan and stick to the other ingredients. That’s it you’re done!
I served mine with a chicken breast cooked on the George Forman.
